Continuing from Part 1, here’s a look at some more of Springfield’s most iconic locations.
Kwik-E-Mart
The not too convenient convenience store.
When placing it, keep in mind that it should be the closest grocery store to the Simpsons home. Otherwise they would have no reason to go there and pay the hiked up prices that Apu demands.
Again, there are discrepancies as to what the store is next to. One image here shows a large grey building, while another has a smaller beige one. The picture showing the Kwik-E-Mart from the rare opposite angle, seems to show it as yet another building that has nothing nearby.
Personally, I wait in hope that Noiseland Arcade is in a future update to have that next door as it was in the game ‘Virtual Springfield’.
Gas pumps are optional, as the Mart sometimes has them, sometimes doesn’t. A notable episode is one in which Apu and Sanjay have just completed installing a set of new ones, only to have them destroyed moments later.

Tips & Tricks
Although the game encourages you to have Homer and Lisa clean up debris, it’s a great idea to keep some by. Despite being advertised as rubbish, they can be used as free decorations to add some character to certain areas.
Sometimes, due to the limited resources and decorations currently available, you have to make do with things that look almost like what you want e.g. the cobblestone wall here.
Springfield Elementary
One of the many schools present in Springfield, and the one most regularly seen in the show, there are plenty of images to work with.
The opening sequence makes it clear that the school is just off of the town square, with the doors directly opposite the street headed towards it. Although, other episodes show homes opposite, just to be confusing.
In position opposite used to be a Semi Painless Dentistry, but now Lard Lad is in its spot, which is better as this is in the game, while the former doesn’t appear.
It also looks as though Springfield Elementary is at the bottom of a hill, which at the top suburban areas are found.
As Bart leaves the school after detention, he goes the same way, but the backdrop changes in different episodes.
The school grounds are quite large. Within them is a playing field, playground equipment, Willie’s Shack and a car park. Remember to include the low budget ‘tetherball’. Also make sure that you have some snapdragons somewhere for Martin to pick.

One thing that may work in your favour is that the school looks almost identical from the back as it does the front, so you could have the grounds on either side of it.

Springfield General Hospital
Also known as The Marvin Monroe Memorial Hospital it is yet again, one of Springfield’s buildings that gives the impression of being out on its own.

It is however also one of the few buildings that has a mention of something located nearby. The Cemetery is to be found opposite, with the Pet Cemetery next to that.
Again, only having one angle ever appearing in the show, plenty of the decorating will be up to your imagination.

Tips & Tricks
Pavements in Tapped Out are pretty wide and often you don’t want them to be as big as they are. You can disguise this using various decorations to give the impression that they are the size you prefer.
Just for fun, here’s Captain McCallister poking Willie with a fish, irritating him as he tries to play the bagpipes.
