Originally intended to be a part of the Sexiest Women of Sci-Fi article, (hence the Number One pun running throughout) the Trekkie girls just kept coming and simply demanded their own space. (Outer Space pun)
So here it is:
The Original Series
Runners Up
Janice Rand
Yeoman Rand was essentially Kirks personal assistant throughout the first series. She mysteriously disappeared for a while, but years later served under Captain Sulu when he took his own command.
Nyota Uhura
The trusted communications officer and star of the first black woman, white man kiss on tv, Uhura was more than just a pretty face in a short skirt. She was an intelligent and capable officer, invaluable to the Enterprise crew.
A native who almost had Kirk leave the Enterprise and join her primitive tribe on her planet.
Leila Kalomi
An expert botanist who Spock had possibly his first true feelings for.
To complete the big three, Barrows wooed McCoy, and though it was never seen in the series, the expanded universe has it that they eventually married.
This belly dancer caught the attention of Scotty. It was all going well until she was killed and he was accused of the murder.
A Vulcan cadet assigned to Kirks command during the Genesis crisis. She had a few faces, but this was the most preferable.
In one episode to make a change the unlucky redshirt was an attractive young female Yeoman. Another difference was that she survived where most men do not.
Initially a dangerous alien, willing to kill, eventually the Enterprise crew teach her and her companions important lessons of humanity. Obviously Kirks method is by seducing the pretty lady.
Nurse Christine Chapel / Number One

McCoys faithful and talented assistant in the Enterprise Sickbay and Captain Pikes second in command come joint second.
Should note that Lwaxana Troi, M’Ress and the Computer come in this bundle too…
Number One
An incredibly sad story: She was exiled from her time and sent back to the planets past as punishment for her family attempting to assassinate a tyrant. She was only discovered much later by Spock and McCoy when they found the time portal used to do this. She tried to convince them that they had to stay, fearing that she would be left alone. The time travel had an odd effect on the men, reversing their evolution to more primitive versions. In Spocks case, this meant his emotions began to surface. He and Zarabeth began to grow feelings for each other. Eventually he and McCoy were able to find their way back to their present, but were forced to leave her behind, alone, waiting to die…
Still hot though.
The Next Generation
Runners Up
Beverly Crusher
The Enterprise Ds Medical Chief is one of few women able to turn Picards head, as well as plenty of others.
Deanna Troi
The Ship Councillor with the constant on/off relationship with Riker also had a brief fling with Worf. Her semi-psychic abilities are a little intimidating, but she’s got heart.
The younger sister of Tasha, she soon followed in her footsteps and temporarily joined the Enterprise crew becoming a close friend of Datas. Not as close as Tasha however…
Bajoran fan favourite Ro Laren served with Starfleet and for a while on he Enterprise before joining the Maquis.
Clumsy new recruit she drives Geordi a little crazy, but manages to prove her talent and thus why she deserves a place among the crew.
Irish alien Brenna had that famous charm that won the amorous affections of Riker, before she was sent off to repopulate a planet.
An intern on the Enterprise, she discovered that her birth parents were actually members of the Q Continuum.
Jean Grey was an invaluable part of Professor X’s team. Oh wait…
Number One
Vash is basically a female Indiana Jones. An archaeologist with a taste for adventure and able to attract almost any man she encounters. (As opposed to Indys women. Thought that should be made clear.)
Deep Space 9
Runners Up
Jadzia Dax
The body of an attractive young woman, but the mind of a dirty old man. She’s a symbiote with generations of life experience to draw from. Sounds fun.
Earning a place for her association with Dax.
A Bajoran woman who once dated Captain Sisko.
Number One
Leeta
This saucy Bajoran worked in Quarks bar on the Dabo game tables. Later, she married his brother Rom.
Voyager
Runners Up
Neelix wife. He was punching above his weight.
Katherine Janeway
One for the older gent, but still when she let her hair down, and if you could ignore the croaky voice, not too shabby.
A Varro who began a romantic affair with Harry Kim. Janeway ordered him to break it off as it went against protocol, but Harry had a hard time performing his duty.
B’elanna Torres
In one episode she was split into her two halves. So we saw her become fully human and fully Klingon. Somehow, her hottest form is the usual half and half.
Another of Harry Kims crushes, she was an ensign on board Voyager. She met her death on an away mission with Kim but later ressurected as a Kobali.
Twins who worked in stellar cartography aboard Voyager. Tom Paris convinced Harry Kim to ask Jenny on a date, so that he could go after Megan himself. The twins also took roles in Paris’ Captain Proton Holodeck programme.
Number One
Seven of Nine
I wanted to find an alternative winner, but it couldn’t be done. She’s got all the right shapes in all the right places and they’re all right there. Somehow the cybernetic implants are a bonus rather than a turn off.
Enterprise
Runners Up
Hoshi Sato
Linguistics expert assigned to the Enterprise in place of the as yet non-invented Universal Translator. Also brings a friendly face to first contacts.
An officer who made T’Pol jealous when she starting spending a lot of time with Trip Tucker.
Number One
T’Pol
Another in the ‘it-could-only-be-her’ category, she’s the voluptuous Vulcan who confuses mens emotions while sharing none of her own.
