Bishop_up_close
Bishop does what a mechanical servant should do. He serves and is loyal to the last.

9:Talos

talos-in-jason-and-the-argonauts
A giant man killing machine. This God-made monster manages to slaughter a good number of Argonauts before Jason unplugs him.

8:Tik-Tok

Appears In: Return to Oz
Tik-Tok
A loyal battle droid who would always risk his life for that of another. His major flaw is that he works on wind-up power, which regularly runs out, leaving him useless. That and his clunky, slow poor agility. Unlike the Tinman though, he seems to have heart.

7:T-800

Appears In: The Terminator Saga
Arnold-Schwarzenegger-in--001
This guy comes off a factory line in bulk, but usually you only see one at a time. He’s dangerous and even though they keep inventing supposedly superior models, this guy just goes to show that they don’t make ’em like they used to.

6:Johnny 5

Appears In: Short Circuit 1&2
1robots-gal-johnny
He’s kind of like a Terminator, but he’s a good guy. To be fair he’s probably not quite the killing machine either, but he outwitted the rest of his brothers.
Plus, I’d rather have this guy around to go disco dancing with and sing along to the Bee Gees.

5:HK-47

Appears In: Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
hk-47
HK-47 is what happens when C-3P0 downloads the Terminator’s programming. This protocol droid has little more on it’s mind that destroying meat bags. It’s just a good thing that as a droid, he’s programmed to serve.

4:Kryten

Appears In: Red Dwarf
Kryten-kryten
Kryten’s main function is as a butler/caretaker/maid/servant, but more often than not, it’s his mechanical brain that the crew rely on to pull them out of dangerous scrapes and even explain the scrapes that they’re in in the first place.

3:R2-D2

Appears In: Star Wars Saga
R2_Magazine
R2-D2 is a walking futuristic swiss army knife. He’s got a gadget inside his casing for pretty much any occasion, including saws, electric weapons and hacking devices. Not to mention the jet boosters (no really, let’s not mention them). A trusty sidekick to the Skywalker’s, he never let’s his master down.

2:EDI

Appears In: Mass Effect 2&3
EDI-2.0-After-Taking-Over-Dr.-Eva-Cores-Body2
Robots aren’t meant to be sexy, but this one actually has a human fall in love with her. She’s linked to the Normandy and runs as its computer as well as a member of the combat crew.

1:Data

Appears In: Star Trek: The Next Generation
Data5
Star Trek’s own Pinocchio has the strength of a Terminator, the intelligence of Kryten and the heart of Johnny 5. His drive to become a human makes him possibly more human than anyone else. Plus he has a cat.
